BACK TO BASOM - words and music by Ween
**from the album "White Pepper"
Kids, here's a first, comments on Back to Basom from both Aaron and Mickey.
Ross sent this in with some comments on this song he received from Mickey:
ross, if you know how to play an open D minor chord, you just slide that
same chord structure up so your first finger is on the 5th fret of the high
e string....you play the open A string along with this. it's basically a D
major seventh chord. the second chord is the same chord slid down two frets
so your first finger is on the 3 rd fret of the high e string. -mig
Then here's what Aaron told me:
Todder, Mickey was right except for one thing, It's not a D major chord ,
it's a D minor. D minor starting at 5th fret with pinky hammer on, moved
down to 3rd fret, followed by an A major to an F with the 6th string open
and the F moved up 2 frets and blah blah blah...

Like Seeking wonder from a foreign place
It matters not from where i'm coming
F->G F
and the snow so light is bleeding
F->G F
We sleep so tight when we're breathing
F G
calm a little pint of soul creeping
Chorus:
A G F G
calm the light Let me Fly Back to basom
A G F G
calm the light Let me Fly Back to basom
(deep space jam)
A A G(repeat a couple of times)
A B C(repeat a couple of times)
(use part A for these verses)
Left to locate the last trace of waste
picked it up and it was smiling
Just like the dancer who has lost her leg
she laughs an old but then she's crying
F->G F
and the snow so light is bleeding
F->G F
sleep so tight when we're breathing
F G
calm a lttle pint of soul creeping
